Biker Jackets
Finding the best jacket for your body type may seem daunting, but here are some guidelines to help you along the way.
BEST PROPORTIONS
For best proportions, a shorter jacket should end at the hips or a hand’s width below the belly button.
SLENDER BODY
If you have a slender body, biker jackets with pointy collars are perfect for you.
CURVY BODY
For those of us with more curves, a round collar shape would create a more harmonious look with our body shape.
A curvy woman might also feel more comfortable in a jacket made from a softer fabric, and that is ok. Biker jackets are not for everyone. We need to remain true to our own personal style.
SHORTER LEGS
A shorter jacket can make your legs appear longer.
BUST SIZE
If you have a smaller bust, go for a jacket with pockets in that area, but avoid those pockets if you have a full bust.
WIDER SHOULDERS AND SMALLER HIPS
If you have wider shoulders with smaller hips, avoid detail on the shoulders and look for a jacket with detail such as pockets, zippers, or buckles in the hip area.
SMALLER SHOULDERS AND WIDER HIPS (typical pear shape)
On the contrary, shoulder detail is great for those of us with smaller shoulders and wider hips, as it will create a sense of balance and the illusion of an hourglass shape.
Also, be careful of pockets/zippers close to the hip area if your hips are on the wider side.
